DrEdwardKBrownJrEdward K. Brown Jr. DDS, DMSc received his BA in Biology from La Salle University then continued on to the Howard University College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Additionally, he is a graduate of Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he completed a 6 year Post-Doctoral Fellowship and a Doctorate of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology. He received his specialty training in the area of prosthodontics with a focus on Implants, crowns, bridges, dentures and TMJ disease.

 

Upon graduation from Howard University College of Dentistry Dr. Brown received the prestigious Scholars in Research award. During his time at Harvard for his dissertation, he developed the first complete denture application (Interactive Complete Denture Syllabus iCDS) tailored for both dentists and dental students, focusing on the theory and fabrication of complete dentures.

 

His research efforts were recognized at the annual meeting of The American Prosthodontic Society for his innovative approach to learning. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, Hispanic Dental association and the International Association of Dental Research. Dr. Brown is also a member of the Delta Dental Professional Advisory Board of Massachusetts.

 

Dr. Brown has been practicing as a board certified prosthodontist since graduation from Harvard College Of Dentistry and remains an active member of the DC Dental Society.

 

Dr. Brown has excellent chairside manner and a strong interest in Hybrid Implant-Retained Dentures. We have every confidence that he will be a strong asset to our Dental Team.
